Inauguration of the Marian Month
Posted: Jul 17th, 2021
True to the traditions of Salesian patrimony and as a tangible devotion to our blessed mother, the community of Don Bosco Aluva inaugurated the Marian Month on 16th of July, the feast of Our Lady of Mount Carmel. The one-month preparation before the assumption consists of various activities, both spiritual and extra-curricular such as prayer services, quiz competitions, speeches, Bhajan and rosary services, Marian month matches, and the like, to show our veneration to our blessed mother. In a well conducted inaugural service, Fr. Rector inaugurated the month by the lighting of the lamp and unveiling of the logo. The theme chosen for the present year is “and Mary was there.” Just as Mary was there at the wedding feast at Cana, reaching to their aid in time of distress, Mary is here with us as a mother of hope when the world is in distress due to the Corona pandemic. Congratulations to the entertainment sodality which spearheads the animation of the entire month.
