Grand Inauguration of the Don Bosco Football Academy: “Sports for Change”

Don Bosco Seminary proudly organized the grand inauguration of its Football Academy, “Sports for Change”, aimed at promoting sports and holistic development among the children of the local community. The event took place in the Seminary auditorium on 15th August 2025, marking the official launch of this much-awaited initiative in the Don Bosco Aluva region. The inauguration ceremony was graced by Mr. Bineesh Bastin, a renowned film artist from Kochi, who served as the chief guest for the occasion. The event witnessed an enthusiastic gathering of around 250 students along with their parents, reflecting the strong community interest and support for this initiative. Following the formal inauguration, the organizing committee conducted exciting football matches for children across different age categories. Winners and participants were felicitated with awards, while all participating children received jerseys, football boots, and essential playing equipment, ensuring they are well-equipped to enjoy the sport. The games commenced in the afternoon at 3:00 PM and continued until 8:30 PM, creating a lively and energetic atmosphere throughout the day. The active participation of the children and the encouragement from their parents contributed to the event’s resounding success.
