Cultural Day 2022

The community celebrated the cultural day on the 17th of February 2022. This was a beautiful occasion to celebrate the different cultures which make up our community. The day began with a meaningful morning prayer which had psalms and prayers taken from different languages and was done in the Indian mode of squatting. The community mass was celebrated in Hindi with songs from different languages. The meaningful liturgy was well animated and touching. In the cultural programme that followed, there were traditional items from different cultures like Margamkali, nadanpattu (Kerala), Oyilattam (Tamil Nadu), Folk song and Kolatta (Karnataka), Bhangra Dance (Punjab), Sadri Song and Nagpuri song (Chota Nagpur). Breakfast, lunch and tea stuff were prepared by the brothers and it showed the culinary diversity of our nation. In the evening there was also cultural games conducted. The cultural day ended with a Tamil movie in the evening.
